Your First Glamping Trip: What to Pack
If this is your first glamping trip, you might be wondering what to bring. The good news is that glamping at Press Brook Park is not like camping — we provide all the big stuff. Our cabins come with luxury bedding, towels, en-suite bathrooms, and a refreshment station. Our bell tents include a king-size bed with pillows and bedding, plus ready-made sofa beds for children.
What you should bring: warm layers for the evenings (even in summer, Derbyshire nights can be cool), walking boots or sturdy shoes (no heels on grass or in the tents!), a torch for the walk to the facilities block, and food and drinks for your stay. A local farm shop and tea room is only a short walk from the site.
For the fire pit, you will need smokeless fuels — kindling, logs, and briquettes are available to purchase on site. Marshmallows are strongly recommended! If you are bringing a dog, remember their bed, bowls, and leads.
For tent stays, remember to bring your own towels, plates, bowls, mugs, cutlery, and toiletries. A portable power bank is handy since the tents are off-grid. The most important thing to pack? A sense of adventure and a willingness to switch off your phone.
