We are surrounded by beautiful countryside, farmland, and a working rural environment. To keep everyone safe — guests, dogs, livestock, and wildlife — we ask all dog owners to follow our simple guidelines and the Countryside Code.

Keep your dog under effective control at all times, especially near livestock.

When crossing farmland, keep to public footpaths and keep dogs on a short lead.
Farm Safety
Never let your dog chase or worry livestock. If cattle approach, release your dog and move away calmly.

Keep dogs away from nesting birds, wildlife habitats, and waterways where animals may be disturbed.
Responsible Ownership
Always clean up after your dog and dispose of waste responsibly.

Our Dog Rules
Please keep your dog on a short lead when near other guests and in communal areas. This helps ensure everyone feels comfortable.
Please do not leave your dog unattended if they are prone to barking. This helps maintain the peaceful atmosphere for all guests.
Please pick up after your dog immediately and dispose of waste in the bins provided. We want to keep the site clean and pleasant for everyone.
We ask that you minimise barking as much as possible, out of courtesy for other guests enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
New environments can be exciting or stressful for dogs. Bring familiar items like their bed, toys, and blankets. Take time to let them settle in, and keep to your usual routine where possible.
For the safety of all guests and their pets, we cannot accommodate dogs that show aggression towards people or other animals.
Dog-Friendly Places to Eat
The George is our nearest dog-friendly pub, just a ten-minute walk from the site. They welcome well-behaved dogs inside and serve great food. Perfect for a family lunch or evening meal without having to leave your furry friend behind.
